Every day on the Nigerian internet, there are people who keep our eyes glued to our phone screens as we read their rants, opinions, perspectives on political and social matters, etc. Sometimes, they are just downright ridiculous. We make it our job to take down the names of these noisemakers.
Here’s our list from today:
1 Frank Edwards
Perhaps because today’s been pretty quiet on the news front (yea, even Osinbajo’s trip to and fro London was on the downlow) and social media barely had anything to shake the world about, someone decided to concoct news that would bring the clicks- because bad news spreads fast and sells even more.

This sort of news is liable to shake up the gospel music world and christendom in general. For a brief moment, it did.
Is Don Moen dead? I just read something like that
— Ahmed Tijani Ibn Mustapha (@MrAfobaje) July 12, 2017
Please can anybody confirm to me? I just saw the news that Don Moen has passed on.
— Asu Ekiye (@asuekiyelive) July 12, 2017
Then it was swiftly taken care of:
PLS IGNORE THIS FAKE NEWS!!! Don moen @donmoen is VERY ALIVE AND HEALTHY 🙏🏾 pic.twitter.com/UcIqQs2AGA
— FRANK EDWARDS (@frankrichboy) July 12, 2017
Just a media hype, he his alive and well

2. Don Moen himself tweeted that 4 generations of his family are alive and kicking so nobody gets any more stupid ideas.
Celebrating 4 generations in Minnesota today! Here's a photo of my Dad, son John holding Bennett and me holding Luke. Love my family!!! pic.twitter.com/DBTKwXfMKs

3. Nathaniel Bassey could only shake in head in amazement.

And there’s this:
Someone just woke up and wrote that Don Moen is dead. Fear God. The thunder that will fire you will come with lifted hands.
— C. Darlington N. (@Prince_lington) July 12, 2017
But really, fear God.

7. Karo
We always have something to groan about in this country. Today is the Bayelsa state governor, Henry Seriake Dickson and his complex.
There is fanfare going on in Bayelsa, inauguration of Governor's office complex.
Bayelsa is owing teachers several months salaries.
— Karo (@Karovoni) July 12, 2017
The Bayelsa gov office complex is being described as the best in Nigeria.

The inauguration is showing live on TVC. I'm not sure how much it costs to air live on TVC.
But for Christ's sake, salaries are being owed.
— Karo (@Karovoni) July 12, 2017
I tweeted about this yesterday and till this moment they are attacking me left right centre…So the guy is even owing? wonders https://t.co/PQPdEvNFBt
