Former Niger Delta militant leader, Government Ekpemukpolo, aka, Tompolo, has been urged to come out of hiding and face the Economic and Financial Crime Commission.
Tompolo is being tried by the anti-graft agency for fraud, corruption and diversion of public funds.
Arresting him has been a challenge for the Nigeria Police even after the EFCC had declared him wanted.
While the search for Tompolo ensues, a former Secretary-General of the Nigerian Union of Petroleum Energy and Natural Gas Workers, NUPENG, Frank Ovie Kokori has challenged him to surface from where he’s hiding and prove his innocence in his ongoing trial.
“Tompolo’s trial for gross financial crime is only infinitesimal of President Buhari’s war against the mammoth financial crime committed by the immediate past federal government of the Peoples Democratic Party. The agency is not witch-hunting him.”
“After all, there are others like Tompolo currently facing trial and more people will be subsequently charged. So let Tompolo come out of hiding and face EFCC eye ball to eye ball in court.”
