Ekiti governor, Ayodele Fayose, says he has performed well in spite of the financial challenges in the state.
While speaking on a radio program on Wednesday, Fayose attributed his success to God:
“Amid these challenges, we are not doing badly, it has been tough, we have been financially handicapped and we had security challenges.
“It has not been easy but God is with me. With the new bailout received, Ekiti debt now extends to 2036. I want to say that administrations that will come after should not commit the state to debts they cannot offset.
“When I left office the last time, I left N10.4 billion, and I inaugurated many projects.
“But despite these financially challenges, I have been able to inaugurate many projects with many others also ongoing. We have done our best within the scope of limited resources available to us.”
