Toyin Saraki ‘was overwhelmed’ during EFCC interrogation

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has reportedly said Toyin  Saraki was ‘thoroughly overwhelmed’ by their knowledge of her alleged links to a money laundering case in Kwara state.

Sahara Reporters reports that sources within the EFCC claimed Toyin Saraki, the wife to Senate President Bukola Saraki, arrived for interrogation ‘totally unprepared’ for the questions they asked her.

Saraki and his wife have been the subject of intense pressure over documents which allegedly implicate them for misappropriation.

Toyin Saraki was accompanied by an entourage of politicians and supporters as she arrived at the EFCC headquarters in Abuja. Included in her entourage was founder of the Anti-Corruption Network, now senator, Dino Melaye.
