Donald Trump Jr., his wife Vanessa Trump, and White House Counselor Kellyanne Conway are dropping Secret Service protection.

According to Fox news, Trump Jr’s  decision borders on his wish to have more privacy while Conway sees no reason to be under the round-the-clock protection since the threat she experienced during the early days of the administration that necessitated the protection had wind down.

Though, Secret Service protection is mandated by law to protect the U.S. president’s immediate family members, unless told otherwise, Trump Jr and Conway’s decision will serve as a relief to the agency following its earlier complaint of stretched resources due to the number of Trump family members who were using the protection, thus forcing the agency to use more agents who would otherwise be working on criminal cases or investigations.

Meanwhile, other family members of President Trump will remain under full protection of the Secret Service.
