President Muhaamdu Buhari has told his Swiss counterpart, Johann Schneider-Ammann to release the country’s funds which were stashed away in the European country.
According to a statement by the President’s spokesperson, Femi Adesina, Buhari said this during a bilateral meeting with the Swiss president at the sidelines of the 71st UN General Assembly in New York.
Buhari demanded the speedy repatriation of the funds, stating that the country needs them especially for infrastructural development.
President Ammann promised to ensure that the stole funds are returned as soon as both countries sign the agreement draft.
He also pledged consolidation of mutual trade relationships, infrastructural development as well as support in training and equipping of the Nigerian military.
