We have to stop using and dumping people – PDP Chairman is really worried

As the election draws closer, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leadership is perturbed about the prevailing feeling of disaffection within the ruling party.

According to the national chairman of the PDP, Adamu Mu’azu, the party cannot afford to continue its culture of “Use and Dump” politics, which he says, degraded it and what it stands for.

On Tuesday, January 6, at the inauguration of the presidential campaign organisation of the party in Abuja, Mu’azu warned President Goodluck Jonathan and the governors against injustice.

He complained that opposition parties have continuously benefited from the PDP’s failure to reward its members, who worked for the party, its governors and/or the president.

He said: “Mr. President, I want to appeal to you to consider it a challenge to discuss with your governors, Senators and all elected officials of PDP that members of the PDP should not be used and dumped, adhere to equity, fairness and justice.”

“A lot of our members have left because they have been used and dumped. The membership of other parties, APC, APGA draw substantial members of their parties from the PDP.”

Furthermore, Mu’azu also implored opposition parties to address important issues during their campaigns, rather than promise what they cannot give.

“We are beating you when it comes to issues. You are only promising the people, but we have already done what you are promising,” he added.
