The Yoruba film industry is mourning one of their own, as fast rising actress Omotola Odunsi, popularly known for her role in Lisabi dies.
The actress’s death was announced by her colleague Akinola Akano in a tribute he posted on Instagram.
At 31, the actress was fast becoming a household name and she took the industry by storm with her acting. More of her colleagues have taken to social media to pay their respects.
- Singer 2Face Marries Fiancé Natasha Osawaru

2Face has reportedly tied the knot with his fiancé Natasha Osawaru in a private traditional ceremony in Abuja. The news of their marriage comes just a few months after the couple announced their engagement, and prior to that, the end of the singer’s marriage to his ex wife Annie Idibia.
The wedding was held on the 25th of July and there have been pictures of the lovebirds posing for what appears to be their wedding pictures.
- Burna Boy Performs At Euros Victory Parade

Award winning Nigerian singer, Burna Boy took to the stage to deliver an exciting performance at the England Lioness’ UEFA Women’s Euros Trophy Parade.
This comes after the team secured their second consecutive Euros title, in their finals on Sunday.
This victory sparked celebrations all over the country, which resulted in the team’s coach inviting Burna Boy to perform.
- LASU Faces Shutdown As Staff Goes On Indefinite Strike

The Lagos State University may face a total shut down as the university’s staff union calls for an indefinite strike over unresolved issues with the university’s management.
The Staff Union’s strike which was effective immediately on Thursday 31st July, was announced by the Joint Action Committee of Staff Unions in a letter addressed to the Vice Chancellor of LASU, the letter was signed by the ASUU-LASU chairman and Secretary.
- Super Falcons Coach Receives 50 million and House For WAFCON

The Super Falcons won the WAFCON just two weeks ago and while the players have been rewarded with gifts and showered with admiration, the Governor of Adamawa Fintiri Ahmadu has extended the rewards to the coach.
The gifts were announced by the Governor’s aide on facebook, including a note that the presentation had been made at the government house in Yola.
