Some angry youth on Tuesday burnt a police station in Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara to the ground.

It was learnt that the residents were furious over the alleged death of a suspect, Ibrahim Muhammad, in police custody.

A witness who spoke to NAN said the suspect allegedly stole a cell phone leading to his arrest.

The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Shehu Muhammad, confirmed the incident.

The spokesperson said the State Police Command was already compiling a report on the incident.
