Targema Takema, the Secretary to the Benue State Government (SSG), was on Friday rushed to the state teaching hospital after he reportedly collasped and fell into a coma at his Markudi residence.
According to the Vanguard, a close family source disclosed that Takema was suffering from cardiovascular disease.
“We were told by doctors that he suffered a serious stroke, but he is in stable health condition, we are hopeful that he would get stronger in the coming few days.”
Confirming the incident the Chief Press Secretary to the Benue state Governor, Terver Akase, noted that the state Governor, Samuel Ortom, has paid a visit to Takema and that the SSG was responding to treatment.
‘Yes it is true that the SSG slumped, but he was rushed to the hospital where he is in stable condition and also responding to treatment.”
