Usman Modu Tella, a potential child bomber has been arrested by troops of 7 Division Garrison, at an Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camp, in Dalori, Maiduguri.
Tella, an 11-year-old boy, was apprehended on Tuesday, by soldiers providing security for the IDP camp at Maiduguri Metropolitan Council, in Borno state.
According to Colonel Sani Usman, Army spokesperson, Tella is suspect number 82 on the list of 100 wanted suspected Boko Haram terrorists, released by the Nigerian Army.
The child-insurgent is from Bama town and is among 4 other children trained for suicide bombing by the Boko Haram terrorists, the Army says.
Tella confessed to the soldiers that 3 others have already carried out their missions at different locations while he was at the camp to fulfill his mission.
The Army also revealed that Tella exposed a Boko Haram senior member, Alhaji Kerewu Abubakar,who also resides at the camp.
