According to North Korean state media, Pyongyang has warned Thursday that destroying South Korea would be a “piece of cake” as the DPRK slammed Seoul for joining forces with the US to conduct missile drills following its intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) test.

The missile test prompted the United States and South Korea to organize a joint missile drill aimed as a show of power countering the North’s threats.

On Thursday, according to the KCNA news agency, North Korea hit back with its propaganda National Peace Committee for Korea criticizing South Korean President Moon Jae-in for denouncing Pyongyang “instead of getting rejoiced over the praiseworthy event”.

They mocked the South as “puppet military gangsters”, saying it will be as easy as a piece of cake for the (North) to wipe out the puppet forces … as we are now able to destroy even the US mainland across the ocean”. The latest test drew also widespread condemnation and prompted the US to push for new, tougher sanctions against Pyongyang at an UN Security Council meeting held on Wednesday.

Kim Jong-Un described the ICBM launch which happened on the U.S Independence Day holiday — as a gift to “American bastard” and vowed to send more “gift packages” to the U.S.
