Rick Ross apologizes for sexist comments

Rapper, Rick Ross has apologized for the extremely insensitive comments he made on Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club on Monday.

During the interview, Rick Ross was asked why he never signed any female artiste to his Maybach Music Group label and he replied, “You know, I never did it because I always thought, like, I would end up f–king the female rapper and f–king the business up. I’m so focused on my business. I gotta be honest with you. She’s lookin’ good, I’m spending so much money on her photo shoots—I gotta f–k a couple times”.

Rick Ross messed up, received the right measure of backlash and has now backtracked on that statement with an apology he shared on Facebook that reads in part,

“My comment is not reflection of my beliefs on the issue. A mistake I regret. I hope to use my mistake, my platform and the community to create positive discussion to implement change on a very important issue. respect for the ones who stand up to say hey that isn’t right. Now it’s time to accept responsibility and all do better”.

You sure need to do better, Ross!

According to E!News, the trio arrived at the event separately but met up in pairs for pleasantries and photos.
