In this election season, a lot of metaphors, idioms and wordplay has been employed by politicians.
The latest person to register his contribution is Rochas Okorocha, who says the Peoples Democratic Party has “lost some weight”.
Okorocha’s statement was in response to the opposition of the PDP governors to the use of card readers at the upcoming polls.
The Imo state governor spoke through his Senior Special Assistant on Media, Sam Onwuemedo, saying that anyone opposed to using the card reader technology must have ulterior motives.
He said: “PDP has been caught by the fear of the unknown. The Nigerian masses have since abandoned them, and they are already aware of their fate at the poll. PDP is afraid of its shadows. The party has lost some weight.”
