Islamic terrorist sect, Boko Haram have bombed a bridge in Madafuma village, along Biu-Damboa, Maiduguri, around 1:30 am yesterday morning. The militants reportedly planted an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) under the Madafuma bridge that links Biu and Maiduguri, which totally destroyed the bridge. A resident of the area revealed that they heard a loud noise which caused panic and confusion, but they couldn’t immediately ascertain what had happened till they woke up in the morning to discover that the Madafuma bridge which links Biu and Girau had been completely blown apart. Madafuma village is located about 160 kilometres from Maiduguri and Boko Haram terrorists regularly ambush and Kidnap villagers and travellers plying the road.
