The Kano State Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) Abdullahi Minkaila on Thursday died with his immediate family members in a fire incident.
Reports say the deceased died in the inferno along with his wife and two children.
The late Minkaila and his family were rushed to the Murtala Mohammed specialist hospital where they gave up the ghost Friday morning. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained at press time.
Spokesman of the Independent Electoral Commission, Garba confirmed the incident.
