Lagos generates 400 oxygen cylinders daily
Mr Gbenga Omotoso, The Lagos State Commissioner for Information has stated that the state generates 400 cylinders of oxygen for the care of COVID-19 patients – The Punch reports
Speaking to newsmen, Mr. Gbenga said the number was just enough for patients that were in a state that required it.

Speaking to newsmen on Tuesday, 12 January 2021, at the inauguration of the mobilisation committee for the party’s membership registration/revalidation exercise, the governor said advanced countries would soon come to learn about politics from the APC.
FG begins preparation for Nigeria Armed Forces Day
The Federal Government has announced on Tuesday, 12 January 2021, the preparation for the 2021 Nigeria Armed Forces Day – The Daily Post reports
The government in their announcement ordered the closure of roads accessing Arcade, the phase I, II and III of the Federal Secretariat complexes and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Abuja.
The closure would be between Noon January 14 and 1:00 pm January 15.
2021 Budget: FG to provide N765bn for social investment programme
The federal government has allocated N765 from the 2021 budget for the Social Investment Programmes (SIPs), a key empowerment scheme of the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration – Premium Times reports
According to a virtual presentation on Tuesday, 12 January 2021, by the Minister of Finance, Zainab Ahmed, N400 billion will go directly to the programme while N365 billion will go into ”upscaling the programme”.
