Las Vegas shooting: Trump awards $1million to law enforcement officials

Following the Las Vegas shooting which killed 59 people and recorded over 500 injuries, U.S. President Donald Trump has awarded $1million dollars to law enforcement officials who are engaged in round the clock security watch and several duties to help the injured individuals and put them back to their feet.

Since the tragic incident which is the worst mass shooting in modern American history, medical officers, government officials including law enforcements and several volunteers have been engaged in diverse efforts ranging from treatment, to blood donation and facilitation of funerals.

Trump disclosed the development in a tweet, saying, “Happy to announce we are awarding $1M to Las Vegas – in order to help local law enforcement working OT to respond to last Sunday’s tragedy”.

Stephen Paddock, the identified 64-year-old shooter showered outdoor concertgoers with bullets from his hotel room in the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino during the last day of Route 91 country music festival in Las Vegas.
