  1. ‘BUHARI NOT RETURNING SOON’ – PRESIDENCY SOURCES

Nigeria President, Muhammadu Buhari, will not return home from medical leave presidency sources said on Saturday, having previously said he would be returning by then.

Buhari’s doctors said they will need to carry out testing on him on Monday, and the test results will determine when he returns to Nigeria, Reuters Africa reports.

2. MELAYE, BELLO’S SUPPORTERS CLASH IN KOGI

Supporters of Senator representing Kogi West, Dino Melaye and those of the state’s governor, Yahaya Bello has clashed in Lokoja, the state capital.

3. BUHARI DIRECTS OSINBAJO TO SIGN 2017 BUDGET

President Muhammadu Buhari has directed Acting President Yemi Osinbajo to sign the 2017 appropriation bill into law.

Garba Shehu, presidential spokesman  in a statement on Monday said Buhari indicated that signing the budget was in the interest of the country.

4. ACTING PRESIDENT OSINBAJO SIGNS 2017 BUDGET

Acting President Yemi Osinbajo has signed the 2017 budget.

The Presidency had earlier announced that President Muhammadu Buhari has directed Osinbajo to sign the budget.

5. 2018 BUDGET WILL BE SIGNED IN DECEMBER THIS YEAR – PRESIDENCY

Acting President Yemi Osinbajo has said the 2018 budget will be passed into law by December this year.

The Presidency in a tweet on Monday said Osinbajo has reached an agreement with the National Assembly to summit the 2018 budget to the Assembly in October.
