Surprising Davido and Chioma with a performance on their wedding day was not the only thing rap legend Olamide had in mind this June as he also announced his new musical project ‘Ikigai’, which will feature his major acts, Asake, Fireboy DML and Lil Kesh.
Nigerian rapper Olamide is one of the few artists who keeps away from social media and lives a solitary life with his wife and family; however, upon returning to the spotlight at #ChiVido2024, the artist has left the internet buzzing and reminiscing about his music.
‘Ikigai’ is a Japanese word that translates to “life’s purpose” and is set to be a 7-track musical project, making it a milestone as Olamide’s tenth solo album.
The album will feature artists that Olamide brought into the limelight, both current and past YBNL signees.
Olamide is revered as a hitmaker in the Nigerian music industry, and fans cannot wait to hear what he has cooked up in his tracks since his last released body of work was the ‘Unruly’ album.
