Well, there had been whispers, but no confirmation until now, and from none other than the horse’s mouth.

Ace comedian, Basketmouth has revealed that he had a child with another woman before he got married to his wife, Elsie Okpocha, whom he has two kids with.

In an interview with blogger, Linda Ikeji, he disclosed that he doesn’t like talking about it despite the fact that it was never a secret.

He said, “Yes I have a daughter with my ex-girlfriend. Its not a comfortable topic to discuss because I wouldn’t want to put anybody under pressure. As long as my family is happy and I’m on the same page with my wife, my siblings, my mum, my pastor and the family of my daughter, that’s all that actually matters.”

Bright Okpocha also added that he doesn’t appreciate his first daughter being labelled as a ‘love child’, saying, “I wouldn’t refer to her as a love child. She’s my child that people didn’t know of.”
