[The Injustice Blog] The APC-led FG has learnt nothing from Jonathan and the PDP

The All Progressives Congress (APC), the ruling party in the country was a coalition of several political parties majorly the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), the All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP), a section of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and a faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) with a message of change being their watchword and selling point.

The party saw an opportunity of rescuing the country from the Golgotha the PDP was leading Nigeria to under Goodluck Jonathan and they were fully embraced by Nigerians together with their candidate Muhammadu Buhari. Despite the early inadequacies detected in Buhari’s candidacy, Nigerians disdain for the PDP made way for him to the Villa.

Two years down the line, it’s been difficult for Nigerians to decipher what went wrong with the change agenda they campaigned on.

Today, Nigeria is divided on many fronts. The APC led by John Oyegun is fragmented.

The National Assembly led by the party is also an Augean stable that believes Nigerians are noise makers for demanding Buhari’s return.

Despite the economic turmoil Nigeria is experiencing, the Senate still allocate billions of Naira to buy official cars for themselves when the citizens can barely feed.

The reaction of the Senate towards the #ourmumudondo protesters as conveyed by their unsolicited statement is a replica of the General Sani Abacha where Human Rights only existing on the pages of newspapers.

The action of the executive to the protesters isn’t any different from that of Goodluck Jonathan during his time as president.

The activities of the party and its members have shown that they are only concerned about themselves.
