Days after the burial took place, Mrs Dabiri-Erewa returned to Twitter with news:

Nigerians are not here for any of her eexcuses or post mortem reactions. The general consensus is that Nigeria should have thrown itself into the thick of things immediately after the unfortunate event happened, instead of crying over spilled milk, after the fact.

With lots of bashing comments on this thread, it's obvious many so-called Nigerian graduates have a ? mark on their certs. If a country had agreed wt d home country on a chosen date to bury a people, but d former went 9 days earlier to carry out d obsequies, need we any attack?

Take several seats
Useless, Inhuman and Evil Nigerians leaders. Assume you heard of your relatives was among, you would have kept vigil about it

They communicated with an agency and not the embassy. How does that sound. You people can truely do better than all this disgrace.

Simply a cosmetic PR on a dead horse; It is never in the genes of Africa (Nigeria especially) leaders to render a public apology. Accept your mistake and tender a public apology. As we know nothing will come forth from the inquest. It is the usual norm!

The more you tweet on this issue, the more obnoxious you sound ma.
1. You heard about this mishap yet you took no step in repatriating the bodies for identification and investigation
2. Till date you haven't named the victims
3. You don't know if they were trafficked or..— Olabode (Odiase's greatgrandson) (@omolere) November 20, 2017
If there was a response by Nigeria, if a detailed plan was put in place by Nigeria, I am sure the would not have buried them.
The decision was left for them to take, so they did it sooner.— Dr. Rosemary Chikwendu (@Rossiechik) November 21, 2017
A proactive government that cares about her citizens would have had representative on ground from the onset to ensure that no criminal offence had taken place so that people are held accountable if any. These excuses should stop

You people should have been involved in d burial arrangements and even asked to fly the bodies home. Instead your staff sat on their asses waiting for the burial day. Nigerian life worths nothing to you bunch

I hope you resolve the questions you've asked, but you already lost the right of narrative.
(Situations like this is more evidence of why we govt has to be proactive, not reactive.) https://t.co/ZHEFvtW6e6

Your office is an embarrassment to Nigeria. You are just there like a toy idol doing NOTHING! EVILS! #SAkillins, #26 #More
— Wisdom (@Bobwisdom) November 20, 2017
Why should we complain about Italy burying the 26 women at all? What Nigeria owes Italy in the case of these women is gratitude first and then cooperation to ensure this does not happen again. It does not speak well of us as a nation to complain that their burial was ‘hasty’.
