There’ve been queries on the TL as to why there’s no outrage over the Fulani killings in Taraba state. The media was fingered as being selective in reporting stories about ethnic groups they do jot like.
@KingAlfred put paid that train of thought. Afrispheric adds to that. See below:
1. You cannot tell a people that lost close to 3 million people in a civil war to "move on" but expect empathy when u tribe loses 100's…

2. You cannot support & justify Odi but expect empathy when your ethnic group is under attack in the Middlebelt

3. U cannot support the killings of unarmed Shia & pro Biafra demonstrators yet expect empathy when you ethnic stock suffers loses
— afrispheric (@afrispheric) June 22, 2017
4. Constraining your empathy to people of same ethnicity is ultimately self defeating It engenders distanciation when u experience tragedy
— afrispheric (@afrispheric) June 22, 2017
5. This is why we must be consistent and fair in how we deal with things Without fairness, there can be no empathy
— afrispheric (@afrispheric) June 22, 2017
5. A human life is a human life Irrespective of ethnicity We must avoid El-Rufai's type of mindset, a mindset of retaliatory superiority
— afrispheric (@afrispheric) June 22, 2017
6. So, when I see certain handles wailing abt d Mambilia militia incidents, I ask why they did not wail about Agatu or the Onithsa massacres
— afrispheric (@afrispheric) June 22, 2017
6. The folks that were killed in Agatu & Onitsha, were they sub-human? Where was your outrage then?
— afrispheric (@afrispheric) June 22, 2017
6. But this is NGR where we are ready to justify the slaughter of those we consider not our own even though u share a passport…
— afrispheric (@afrispheric) June 22, 2017
8. Nigerians have lived like this for over 50yrs, a nation of ethnicity enforced distanciation regarding lives Is it not time to change?
