The directive issued to the members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) to resume or be sacked, has done almost nothing to faze them.
This can be deduced from the fact that most of the nation’s universities have remained largely deserted despite the December 9 deadline handed down by the Federal Government.
The halls and laboratories of most of the institutions have remained empty of both students and lecturers.
