The Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris and the special adviser to the President on the Senate, Ita Enang have reportedly arrived the National Assembly to meet with the leadership of the Senate over the police raid of Senator Danjuma Goje’s residence, leading to the hijack of the 2017 budget.
According to Sumner Shagari Sambo, a Senior Correspondent, with Television Continental, Senate President Bukola Saraki has directed the IGP to meet Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu on the matter.
Goje, who is the Senate’s Appropriation Committee Chairman, had on Wednesday during plenary accused the police of seizing budget documents during the raid on his Abuja residence.

He added that a laptop, N18m and $12,000 were also carted away from his residence.
