Former Vice President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar, says the victims of the menace of Boko Haram, specifically the Buni Yadi boys and Chibok girls, would always be in the prayers of Nigerians.
Writing a commemorative message on his Facebook page, Atiku said prayers will persist for the boys killed for wanting to acquire an education, as well as the abducted Chibok girls.
He wrote: “A year ago, young boys were brutally murdered by terrorists. We will never stop praying your killers be brought to justice. The Buni Yadi boys were killed for daring to be educated. They are the real heroes of education.”
“Unknown to most Nigerians, some of the Buni Yadi students were taken away by the terrorists, and their whereabouts remain unknown. We remain hopeful that the Buni Yadi boys, Chibok girls and all young people who have been abducted by terrorists will return home,” Atiku added.
Boko Haram insurgents stormed the Yobe college in February 2014, where they set on fire the locked hostels, after which they shot and slit the throats of the students who attempted to climb out of the windows, while some were burnt alive.
In April 2014, over 200 girls were abducted from the Senior Secondary School, Chibok, while preparing for their Senior Secondary School Certificate Examinations.

our prayers will always be with them (the kidnapped buni yadi boys, chibok girls and others), while we await their return. The Almighty will surely bring anyone involved in this terrorist act to justice. Turaki keep doing what for this country, we see you.
Very well said Atiku…
Our country will be a great place with more people like you. May the souls cut short by the insurgents Rest In God’s peace and save return of all those abducted.
