WIMBIZ holds 16th Annual Conference themed: ‘The Future is HERe!

Women in Management, Business and Public Service (WIMBIZ), the foremost non-governmental Organisation for women is scheduled to hold its 16th Annual Conference on November 13th and 14th at Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The Annual Conference is WIMBIZ’s flagship event which holds in November every year. From the first Annual Conference in 2001 with a little over 200 delegates in attendance, the Conference has solidified its position as a key event in the Nigerian corporate events calendar, attracting over 1,400 delegates in 2016. It is arguably the largest gathering of accomplished and influential female executives, entrepreneurs and public service professionals in Nigeria.

The 16th Annual Conference themed ‘The Future is HERe!  will examine the emerging business and economic trends across Africa highlighting the challenges that limit the economic participation and contribution of women whilst spotlighting the myriad trade & investment opportunities available within Nigeria and across Africa.

The Conference will be chaired by Chief Dr. (Mrs.) Nike Akande CON, President, Lagos Chamber of Commerce & Industry and the keynote delivered by Mrs. Laure Beaufils, Deputy British High Commissioner, Lagos along with over 50 speakers.

Rich with broadly relevant content, the conference will feature diverse plenaries on a variety of topics including Manufacturing, Innovative Business Models, African Business Opportunities, Women in Careers, Small Business Funding Alternatives and much more.

The WIMBIZ Annual Conference is dynamic, with something new to experience at the conference each year.  New this year is an exclusively all-male panel discussing strategies for increasing female leadership, with insights from Dan Agbor, Managing Partner, Udo Udoma & Bello Osagie; Tonye Cole, Co-Founder/Executive Director, Sahara Group; Aigboje Aig-Imokhuede, Chairman, Coronation Capital and Tosin Runsewe, Chief Client Officer, AXA Mansard.

With 200 slots reserved for male delegates, men are invited to register and attend the Conference.

The 16th Annual Conference also features a new side event; the Power Cocktail – an exclusive business networking forum holding on the 13th of November, 2017 and the Conference After Party which presents the Ebpny Life TV Sisterhood Awards in partnership with EbonyLife TV and holds on the 14th of November, 2017.
