Nigerian filmmaker Afolabi Olalekan’s directorial debut movie, “Freedom Way”, is set to premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) on September 7, 2024.
Blessing Uzzi wrote and produced the feature film under the production of BluHouse Studios, which shows the merge between personal and professional challenges a person faces. The movie focuses on three entrepreneurs who strive to keep their startup company afloat whilst facing a powerful adversary.
In the same light, a biker suddenly loses his livelihood and is left with hard choices to fend for his family. The characters are all in some way fighting a battle against governmental laws, police brutality and harassment.
“Freedom Way” stars Debo Adedayo (Mr Macaroni), Femi Jacobs, Taye Arimoro, Jesse Suntele, Jable Ogaranya, Bimbo Akintola, Meg Otanwa, and Mike Afolarin.
