The minister of women affairs, Aisha Alhassan Thursday, appeared before the National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Highlights:

• The NWC APC summoned the minister, having said a few days ago that she would support former vice president, Atiku Abubakar in 2019, even if President Muhammadu Buhari decides to run.
• The minister appeared before the NWC in a closed-door meeting at the APC headquarters in Abuja. John Oyegun, national chairman of the party, and Bolaji Abdullahi, spokesman of the party, were present at the meeting.
