The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has released former presidential spokesperson, Reuben Abati, Premium Times reports.
According to the news platform, Abati himself confirmed the release on Saturday, disclosing that he was somewhere in Abuja.
Abati is being investigated for allegedly receiving N50m from the former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki.
He was held on October 21 after he presented himself at the EFCC office in Abuja following an invitation from the agency.
It was reported that Abati had initially agreed to retrun N5 million but later changed his mind.
It was also gathered that the former presidential aide submitted his passport to the EFCC.
