Between Tonto Dikeh, Azuka Ogujiuba and a new can of worms
Tonto Dikeh is back in the news and it’s all about lies, curses and new secrets.
Just when we thought we had heard the last of her domestic violence accusations and counter-accusations against her ex-husband, Olakunle Churchill, there’s fresh information pointing to a new twist in the tale.
Recall that Tonto had an exclusive interview with Media Room Hub’s Azuka Ogujiuba in the heat of the controversy. In that interview, she shared personal and graphic details of what really went down in her marriage and the abuse she suffered.
Now, the journalist to whom she told the story has revealed that Tonto lied. Ogujiuba who appeared as a guest on Linda Ikeji TV talk show, Hot Topics said, “From my investigation, I think Tonto lied a lot”.
She added that she was in Ghana to investigate some of Tonto’s claims and it turned out most of it were made up, she even claimed to have a video showing Tonto destroying her ex-husband’s home in rage.
It didn’t take long for Tonto to respond with a series of Instagram posts denying Ogujiuba story and lashing out at her.
“Azuka how dare you even say I lied! Where you there!? Where you present in any of the incidences that occurred!? “, she wrote.
Tiwa Savage is on BBC’s 100 Women list
The BBC, on Wednesday, released its list of “100 inspirational and innovative women of 2017” and Nigerian singer, Tiwa Savage made it to the list.
The Mavin Records act was described thus: “singer, songwriter and philanthropist Tiwa Savage is an intergral member of the Afrobeats scene and plans to open a music school.”
The BBC wrote that, “This year, the women on the list will be part of the 100 Women Challenge, tackling some of the biggest problems facing women around the world.”
There are 40 spaces yet to be filled on the list but more women who have taken up the challenge will be added in time.
Sofia Vergara is the World’s Highest Paid TV Actress for 2017
And she holds this position for the sixth year in a row.
According to Forbes Magazine, Sofia Vergara “banked $41.5 million before taxes and fees in the 12 months to June 1”.
Modern Family‘s Vergara who is known to be very business savvy made more than half of her income from endorsements, licensing deals and speaking engagements.
The Colombian actress has deals with brands like Pepsi, Heads & Shoulders and the latest being an underwear subscription service, EBY.
Big Bang Theory‘s Kelly Cuoco ranked second with an earning almost $15 million lesser than Vergara’s.
