President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki on Tuesday read the letter of resumption of office forwarded to it by President Muhammadu Buhari.
Buhari on Monday assumed duties as president after returning from a prolonged medical vacation in the United Kingdom.
Upon assumption of duty, the president forwarded a letter, notifying the upper legislative chamber of his decision.
On Tuesday, Saraki read the president’s letter on the floor of the Senate during plenary.
Buhari in the letter cited Section 115 of the Constitution, stating that he resumed on March 13, 2017.
