1) PDP leaders meet to discuss party crisis
The Peoples Democratic Part (PDP) has in recent months been embroiled in an internal crisis. However, the crisis took a different dimension following the party’s national convention that took place in Port Harcourt last week, where Ali Modu Sheriff was kicked out as the party chairman.
According to unconfirmed sources, the party leadership is currently meeting with the newly appointed national caretaker committee and the Sheriff-led former National Working Committee.
2) Obama vs Trump
President of the United States, Barrack Obama, said that the US Republican Party Presidential nominee, Donald Trump, is rattling world leaders with his unruly comments.

3) Niger Delta Avengers disrupts oil price
Thanks to the Niger Delta militant group, the international oil price of crude shot up to $50 per barrel as the group destroyed oil installations and pipelines within the South South region.
Essentially, this caused oil prices to hit an all time high since this year as the petrol product traded at $50.26 per barrel.
4) Dana Airlines strike
Passengers hoping to use Dana airlines were stranded today as pilots of the airline proceeded on an industrial action that paralyzed the activities of the airline.
The Pilots are said to be protesting non payment of salaries.

Billionaire businessman and founder of PayPal, Peter Thiel, has confirmed that he sponsored the legal action instituted by popular wrestler, Huck Hogan, against American online publication Gawker.com.
