Since Neymar’s world record deal broke yesterday Wednesday, the football world has been turned on its head.

The Brazilian footballer has been with Barcelona since 2013, but is now leaving to Paris Saint-Germain, on a five year contract. The world record deal is worth nearly £450m (€500m), which includes wages, bonuses and a buyout clause of £198m (€222m). Neymar has been offered a basic salary of £26.8m-a-year (€30m) after tax, around £515,000-a-week.
Now you know why football fans are throwing a pity party on the subject. On one side are Barca fans who are nursing a broken heart- like Khal:
Neymar is mad player, one minute he's playing for your team the next minute he's playing with your heart….. ? ? I swear men are scum

Then there are fans who think it’s a win win for all concerned, like @peekaymila:
This Neymar deal is a good deal for PSG after all.
It's a win for barca
A win win for PSG

Bob, however, is contesting Neymar’s skills in the first place. He says he doesn’t come close to Mark Albrighton, an English player. Of course, Brazilians had to stand up for their country people.
£198m for this Neymar lad. World's gone mad. He's got the skills but not the grit of a proper English player like Mark Albrighton

Neymar has never won the premier league, so he can't be as good as Albrighton
