Islamic terrorist sect, Boko Haram has pledged allegiance to the Islamic State (ISIS).
According to BBC, an audio message posted on Boko Haram’s Twitter account confirmed the development.
It is believed that the message was recorded by the group’s leader, Abubakar Shekau.
Boko Haram would be the latest in a series of groups to swear allegiance to ISIS, with some other militant groups across North Africa and the Arabian Peninsula, having previously done the same.
