A civil rights organisation, Vanguards of Nigeria’s Democracy, has accused President Muhammadu Buhari of making moves to probe, indict and jail former President, Goodluck Jonathan
The group alleged that Buhari and his All Progressives Congress-led administration have an agenda which is anti-Niger Delta and against the Ijaw ethnic nationality.
The spokesperson of VND, Osaghae Ogiemudia, said this in a statement in Abuja on Saturday, July 18.
He said, “We, the members of the Vanguards of Nigeria’s Democracy, are aware of some clandestine moves made by the APC-led government to probe, investigate, malign and imprison ex President Jonathan.
We are already aware of the trumped-up charges the APC government is leveling against a man who has diligently served the Nigerian state at the highest level of government.
“The APC led government should take notice that the appointments made so far are skewed in favour of the North, as no Ijaw man has been appointed. While an Ijaw President did not discriminate in appointment, President Buhari is implementing a Northern agenda through some of the appointments.”
Why is Jonathan affair of probe if his hands are clean
OBJ made some coments which reveal that PMB and his apc have some evil agender against GEJ and Niger delta.Any probe Buhari want to carry out without starting at list from the time of IBB will cause serious problem in Nigeria,that will conspicusly amount to patiality and witch hunting which will not be acceptable by easterners as a whole,Already the body language of PMB and all the apointments he has so far made which is lopsided shows that he is a northern president and has nothern agenda,while we are battling to nip boko haram on the bud it will be a great mistake to open another battle front, let me also remind Buhari to tread with caution because the prediction of America is not yet over,the way he will handle the case of the past administration will eighter make or mare nigeria, IBB,Abacha,OBJ GEJ are all curropt regimes therefore if you pick only one regim for probe it will be a desaster,and that will be the end of Nigeria,reason is,IBB Abacha are northerners,OBJ also a military man a friend of PMB,only GEJ is a southerner and a civilian president from the trouble zone Niger delta,Buhari must aply wisdom for the unity of this country.
