One of the governors who met with President Muhammadu Buhari in London on Wednesday allegedly said this evening he was delighted to see him in person after so many weeks of uncertainty.
He told SaharaReporters anonymously that the delegation of seven governors found Buhari to be “much better shape than earlier speculated,” and in full control of his faculties.
“Yes, the illness had a taken a toll on his health,” he said, describing Buhari’s walk as “okay”.
Of the president’s speech, “I did not notice any remarkable change in his voice,” the governor declared.

The governor further said that members of his delegation believed Buhari should follow the advice of his doctors and not be stampeded into rushing back home.
“After all, he has left the country in a very capable hand, fiercely loyal, competent, cerebral and unambitious,” he said, referring to Acting President Yemi Osinbajo.
